Methodology

Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA)/Flow Cytometry/Immunoassay/Indirect Immunofluorescence

Includes anti-CCP (cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies), anti-parvovirus antibody IgG and IgM, antinuclear antibody (ANA), HLA-B27, HCV (hepatitis C antibody), Lyme (enzyme immunoassay [EIA]) reflexive to Western blot (WB).

Useful for aiding in the diagnosis of arthritis when the rheumatoid factor is negative.

Specimen Requirements

Serum and whole blood are required.

Container/Tube: 2 serum gel tubes
Specimen Volume: 4 mL of serum

Whole Blood

Container/Tube: Yellow-top (ACD solution A) tube
Specimen Volume: 2 full tubes
Collection Instructions:

Note: Label specimen appropriately (ACD whole blood).
