Useful for assessing the potential for early onset of nephropathy in diabetic patients.

Container/Tube: Plastic urine container

Specimen Volume: 10 mL from a timed (6-12 hour) overnight, urine collection-Specimen visibly contaminated with blood is not acceptable.

Collection Instructions: No preservative. Refrigerate specimen during collection.

Note: 1. Starting and ending times of collection and total volume are required.

2. Follow instructions in “Urine Collection, 24-Hour” in Special Instructions.
