Acid Elution of Maternal Red Blood Cells and staininig of Fetal Red Blood Cells.

Useful for detection of fetal erythrocytes in the maternal circulation.

Container/Tube: Lavender-top (EDTA) tube

Specimen Volume: Full tube (minimum volume: 1 mL) of whole blood

Collection Instructions: Do not centrifuge. Send specimen in original tube.

UNACCEPTABLE: Hemolyzed Specimens

Monday through Sunday

Store at 2°C to 8°C for 14 days

**Perform testing as promptly as possible
