Specimen Requirements
Specimen must arrive within 24 hours of draw.
Container/Tube: Lavender-top (EDTA) tube(s) with HemogardTM lid
Specimen Volume: 3.5 mL of whole blood, (1mL minimum)
Collection Instructions:
- Invert tube(s) several times to mix blood.
- Do not centrifuge.
- Forward promptly in original tube(s).
- Must be clearly labeled as CORD BLOOD.

- Clotted or Hemolyzed
- Frozen Samples
